Northern Print Solutions at the Huddersfield Business Show 2018
18 October 2018
Summer is a busy time for everyone in the creative industry, and it's no different here at NPS. We've spent countless sunny days inside doing what we do best (printing, of course) which is why it's always a treat when an expo or business fair rolls around as a way to get people out of the office.
This time, Kay Pattison and Beth Wyatt (our client relationship manager and national sales manager respectively) were lucky enough to nip off down to Huddersfield for the very first Huddersfield Business Show, where hundreds of businesses and professionals from around the region and beyond came to interact, network, and share knowledge.
With a packed room of exhibitors (and over 400 delegates), the order of the day was a busy one. From 10:30 to 14:15, seminars ran, delivered by the likes of Nevil Tynemouth, Christine Nicholson, and the North’s very own master magician Kennedy.
Subjects and topics varied in order to give guests the opportunity to tailor their expo experience. For example, Jonny Ross (one of Yorkshire Business Insider’s ’42 under 42′) delivered a fantastic presentation on blogging for optimal Google rankings.
As a company that’s recently adopted a new approach to SEO – one that includes blogging, no less – this presentation was of particular interest to us.
The day ended with a brilliant presentation by Newcastle’s own Rob Temple, who delivered some convincing pointers for businesses trying to increase their email marketing engagement and sales.
For Kay and Beth, the expo was an opportunity to talk to potential new clients and establish NPS’s presence as a leading print outlet for the North. And, by the sound of it, the networking segment of the business show was extremely successful.
So successful, in fact, that Kay and Beth decided to give the day a fitting end in true Northern fashion – with a curry, eaten in style at the Huddersfield Nawaab. We’re looking forward to next year!
