NPS supports Metro Radio Cash for Kids
26 April 2019
NPS has been a member of the Metro Radio Cash for Kids community for some time now as raising money for this charity is very close to our hearts. This year, we've donated 10% of the total figure that Metro Radio spent with us to Cash for Kids, and we'll be taking part in a number of upcoming charity events in order to raise more money.
We passed over the check for £2470.10 to Steve and Karen from Metro Radio recently, and we can’t wait to see what Cash for Kids is able to do with it!
What is Cash for Kids?
Cash for Kids is a network of local charities operating in 22 areas across the UK. Their self-professed mission is to “respond to the needs of children in our communities, and we aspire to enable all children to live life to the full and achieve their individual potential.”
Metro Radio and Magic 1152 are partnered with Cash for Kids in an effort to bring financial support to the thousands of children across the North East of England who suffer neglect and abuse, are disabled and have special needs, or who need extra care and guidance.
How is NPS involved?
We’ve decided to support Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids campaign by taking part in several sponsored events this year. We’re pretty excited to be getting involved with The Inflatable 5k – taking place on the 27th April – and The Colour Obstacle Rush 5k in June.
Supporting this cause is natural to us – we are keen to support and uplift local charities that benefit the local community as much as we possibly can.
Plus, cause-related marketing is something that Cash for Kids actively pushes. In doing these events and raising awareness for this important cause, we can also, “increase sales, encourage positive brand awareness, maintain customer loyalty, and gain new consumer interest”, according to the Cash for Kids website.
These days out are not only a whole load of fun, but they’re also an opportunity for us to get out there and increase our visibility alongside many of our other peers.
How can I help?
Want to get involved, but not prepared to run 5k? We understand… it’s not for everyone! Instead, you can head over to our JustGiving page, where we’re accepting sponsorship donations towards our participation in the upcoming charity events.
All funds raised go directly to the Metro Radio Cash for Kids charity. With your help, we can make a difference.
