Paper is Greater – Black

At Northern Print Solutions, we care just as much as you do about the quality of your finished product. With our binding service, your products can represent the professional, high-quality image you want to portray to your clients or customers.

Northern Print Solutions offers a variety of binding choices. Most common is saddle-stitching, which involves punching a thin wire through the document spine. The wire is bent flat on the inside of the document, and gives the impression of stapling. Best suited to documents of between 8 and 80 pages, this is an extremely affordable option.

Perfect binding Uses glue to secure each section of the document together. This type of binding is best suited to documents of between 15 and 150 pages, and is an ideal choice for annual reports, brochures, and catalogues.

Case binding is used primarily for high-end projects, and involves sewing sections of the document together before glueing them individually to an outer cover.

Spiral binding Spiral binding is best suited to medium-sized documents of between 2 and 250 leaves. We punch holes along one edge of the document, before threading a continuous wire through it in a spiral. This wire is crimped at either end to prevent slipping, and is a perfect option for notebooks, reports, or documents with thicker covers.

Wire binding is an alternative to spiral binding, following essentially the same process until we come to thread the wire through. Instead of a spiral, we use a special C-shaped wire which is threaded through each hole individually and squeezed shut. This binding method ensures that the document is able to lie completely flat, and makes an excellent choice for notebooks.

Plastic comb binding is typically used for documents with 2 to 250 pages. We use a standard plastic comb threaded through pre-cut rectangular holes to keep each page straight and in place.

A nicely bound document adds a touch of class and professionalism to an otherwise simple stack of paper. And at Northern Print Solutions, we guarantee a quick, professional turnaround and products of the highest quality delivered on time, every time. Integrate this service with our design and print offerings to get the most out of what we can do.
